Oneplus fans were thrilled when OnePlus just unveiled the OxygenOS 13 feature. Since then, consumers have begun to wait for OxygenOS 13, but regrettably, only those with OnePlus 7 series smartphones will receive OxygenOS 13. Some customers must upgrade to newer phone models in order to receive the most recent update when it becomes available.

Why won't smartphones get the OxygenOS 13 update?

The OnePlus upgrading policy is the largest roadblock in the way of getting the update. The OnePlus device will now receive 3 major Android updates and 4 years of security updates, under the revised update policy.

However, some gadgets, including as the OnePlus 7 and 7T series, were unveiled prior to the introduction of the new policy. Prior to 2017, OnePlus had a 2 year major OS update cycle and a 3 year security update cycle. The 7 series and 7T series handsets would be eligible for 3 years of major updates and 4 years of security updates, OnePlus subsequently confirmed.
